INTRODUCTION
Due to human body features with no duplicate
characteristics, people put eyes turned to biometrics.
The user is made to show a RFID tag to the reader.
After showing a valid card the controller asks for a
finger print access, here the user has three chances to
try for the access.

RFID
RFID is an acronym for Radio Frequency

Identification.
RFID is identifying a person or object using a radio
frequency transmission.
The technology can be used to identify, track, sort or
detect a wide variety of objects.

COMPONENTS OF RFID
There are three major components of an RFID system
Reader
Antenna
Tags
Two types of tags can be found: active tags with a

longer detection range and passive tags with a shorter

detection range.

Fingerprint Patterns
Arch- The ridges enter from one side of the finger, rise in the centre forming an arc,

and then exit the other side of the finger.

Loop-The ridges enter from one side of a finger, form a curve, and then exit on that
same side.
Whorl-ridges from circularly around a central point on the finger

FINGER PRINT SCANNER

The top layer of the sensor, where the finger is

placed, is known as the touch surface.

Beneath this layer is a light-emitting phosphor layer
which illuminates the surface of the finger.
The light reflected from the finger passes through the
phosphor layer to an array of solid state pixels a
charge-coupled device which captures a visual image
of the fingerprint.

GSM
GSM is global system for mobile communication by

using mobile number or by active

commands,ATD(active dial), AT+CMGS=this
command is used to send message, AT+CMGR=1(this
command is used to read the command),
AT+CMGD=1(it used to delete the
message),CMG=command message.

Future scope
A new generation of touchless live scan devices that

generate a 3D representation of fingerprints is

appearing.
Several images of the finger are acquired from different
views using a multicamera system, and a contact-free
3D representation of the fingerprint is constructed.
This new sensing technology overcomes some of the
problems that intrinsically appear in contact-based
sensors such as improper finger placement, skin
deformation, sensor noise or dirt.

Conclusion
The implemented minutia extraction algorithm is

accurate and fast in minutia extraction.

The algorithm also identifies the unrecoverable
corrupted regions in the fingerprint and removes them
from further processing.
This is a very important property because such
unrecoverable regions do appear in some of the
corrupted fingerprint images and they are extremely
harmful to minutiae extraction.
