1. You need to build up your case study analysis of media


texts, particularly from the print media platform

2. In pairs research different Reality TV show news coverage


in newspapers and magazines

3. Look for examples of issues and debates reality to the


genre and analyse the text by applying the key concepts

4. Record your research in your case study

Extension: Develop your analysis of examples from


another media platform (broadcast or e-media)

In order to check you are prepared for Section B please


prepare a 3 minute presentation about your case study, it
should include:
 Your definition of Reality TV
 Example(s) of Reality TV production companies and scheduling patterns
you have researched
 At least 3 examples of different types of Reality TV shows with analysis of
each
 At least 3 examples of different types of Reality TV show websites and
analysis of each
 At least 3 examples of different print texts relating to Reality TV shows
and analysis of each
 Examples of issues and debates relating to Reality TV
