INTRODUCTION
Problems in the existing system:
The earlier food ordering system was entirely a
manual process which involved waiters, pen and
paper.
The waiter had to note down orders from
customers, take these orders to kitchen, update
them in records and again make bill.
Even though this system is simple it may involve
human errors in noting down the orders.
BREIF DESCRIPTION :
Digital Ordering System.
Includes two application
Thus, fewer service trips by staff , greater table turn over, and
repeat customer visits.
Home
A home Page mainly designed to
keep track of the running orders.
Quick access to details of any tables.
Status of the Orders are shown in list
with corresponding table numbers.

Navigates to another activity
where a waiter can save the IP
address of the kitchen device.

Icon to notify which order is ready
Tables
The screen shows list of
available tables so that the
waiter can guide their
customers towards any empty
tables and take orders.
Shows the number of tables
which are either consumed or
not used yet.
Consumed table is highlighted
where as empty tables can be
represented normally.
Category Menu
Items are chosen according to
categories.
Few Categories are made available on
installation.
This list is changeable. To do so an
Admin authentication is required.
Food Menu
shows list of available item menu
in each category with respective
prices.
By selecting each item dialog box
appears.
From dialog box amount is set for
the selected items.
These orders are saved in a
database which can be updated
anytime.
Order Details
Shows customer order list.
Contains three columns Items,
Amount & Cost.
real time price calculation of each
item is done.
Home activity
Navigate back to the home, we can
see status of the table no 9
The orders can easily be updated
any time
Tables
Table no 9 is occupied.
Bill Section
Number of items with name and
respective price is shown.
Real time total price calculation is
done with subtraction of set
discount percentage.
After paying bill , database is
cleared. However some details are
saved to keep records.
Authentication
For Admin password authentication
is required.
Default password is admin which
can be changed.

Here admin can add new category
selecting a suitable image

Now the added category is already
on Category menu List

Here admin can set the discount
percentage
