INTRODUCTION:
BUSINESS MOVERS

Human elements in the business process who

keep business going and answer the issues of
"who does what"
- They constitute the agent efficient cause of
business either as internal publics ( businessmen
and their workers) or external publics (the
customers, the competitors, the suppiers, the
community and the government.

THE INTERNAL
PUBLICS

 Management and labor constitute the human elements of

the organization's internal environment.

Management Level The Owners, The Managers, The

Governing Board,
administration.

and

those

who

are

involved

in

the

OWNERS AS
BUSINESS MOVERS

 Owners The individuals who provide the capital of the

business organization who may or may not be part of the

management.
Single Proprietorships The proprietor is the owner of the

who manages his own business and performs the dual role
of owner and manager. Same is true with Partnerships.
Corporations

The incorporators and stockholders,

constitute the policy-formulating body either by themselves
or through their elected representatives in thr governing
board. ( directors, trustees, regents)

MANAGERS AS
BUSINESS MOVERS

Management
- Composed of people manning the various positions of the
organization. It embraces the whole range of positions of
command and responsibility from top management down to the
lowest supervisory rank.
- Also viewed as a process, referring to the management
function which basically is decision-making. All the operational
functions of management are decision making processes,
specifically undertaken to harness resources towards the
achievement of the organizational objective.
Top Management General Manager, Chief Executive Officer,
President.

 Authority vested in the manager gives him the power to

command and demand obedience, a function reffered

to by some writers as the function of leading, the process
of getting things done through others, that is, by leading
others towards the organizational objective.

PRODUCERS AS
BUSINESS MOVERS

 The consumer is the first in the mind of the business

mover, but in the actual operation business, it is the

producer who acts first, and the consumer is at the
receiving point at the end of process.

The producer provides the corporate activity from where

the corporate business operations get their support and

direction to keep business going, specifically producing the
goods and services or the product which is his operational
output and which in turn is the marketer's input.

 Producers are all those people who are engage in the

production of goods and services. They are (a) the

entrpreneurs who manage, and (b) the production workers
and service providers who, are the extensions of the
production managers, and are, therefore equally
categorized as producers.

By the type of activity, producers are classified according

to the classification of production process. The first

concern of the producer is to provide inputs which are the
management
resources
through
the
management
functions necessary to harness these resources.
