Agencys Mission

The Screening Center is committed to


providing the highest quality of
psychiatric emergency and screening
service in a manner which upholds
dignity and confidentiality while
maximizing each consumers strengths
and resources.

Demographic

Individuals living in Cumberland


County.
Individuals with a mental illness or cooccurring disorder.
Adults of all ages.
Children ages 5-17.
Screening Center will see individuals
living out of county and will link them
to service closer to the patients home.

Policies & Procedures Related


to The Agencys Administration

Uphold and implement the philosophies


and polices of CCGC and Inspira.
Maintains confidentiality in the hospital,
CCGC and consumer related issues.
To ensure the screening service is staffed
according to the Division of Mental Health
and Addiction Services standards.
Establish a procedure for monitoring and
documenting the performance of all
screening service functions.

Coordination of emergency services


training and education to schools and
police departments.
Ensure adequate levels of clinical staff
supervision, skill development and
support.
Devise and implement a written plan
that ensures appropriate staff availability
24 hours a day for 365 days a year.

Funding Source

CCGC and Crisis Screening Center are


funded by the Division of Mental Health
and Addiction Services (DMHAS).
Grants, Donations and Patients with
Medicaid Insurance.

Relationship Between
Human Service Agencies

Screening Center is under the direction


of Cumberland County Guidance
Center (CCGC).
Partnered with Inspira Health Network.
Before being discharged patients are
linked to appropriate services in the
community, such as:
Oaks Integrated Care
Hampton Behavioral Health Center

My Role in the Agency

My role as an intern with the Crisis


Screening Center is to learn all duties
and skills of a Human Service
Administrator. I have learned ways to
analyze data of the staffs performance
and discussed with my site supervisor
ways staff could better manage their
time to give individuals seeking
treatment the most effective service.
