Background

Nitish a B.Tech and M.Tech from IIT Madras and MBA from XLRI
Jamshedpur

Post MBA he joined a consultancy firm for a salary of 2 Lakh p.a.

He had offer from HCL with double the salary which he refused as he
wanted to get away from programming

He is planning to get married with Pratima who is doing her MA in


Jamshedpur

In two years, he gained a lot of experience and was liked by all for his
happy-go-lucky, cheerful and friendly nature

After two years he decided to move to a new company

The Job at Solutions Unlimited

Nitish contacted Arvind, his classmate who helped him in fixing his interview at
Solutions Unlimited

Solutions unlimited did not advertise its job vacancies but hired on the basis of
referrals

Nitish cleared the interviews and was offered a package of 2.55 LPA

Nitish was not satisfied and demanded 4 LPA for moving out of Jamshedpur

Meena, the senior HR raised the salary to 3.1 from 2.55 LPA which Nitish refused to
take

Nitish also did not liked the way travelling reimbursement is done in the company

Later Mr Kapoor intervened and asked Meena to give revised offer to Nitish

She accepted her mistake to understand Nitishs qualification

Nitish was now not sure about his decision of joining Solutions Unlimited because of
the bad blood already created

Nitish given new offer by Venkat of 4.3 LPA which he accepted and was ready to join
within 14 days after completing his notice period

Mr Khurana was designated as Nitishs mentor

After every project three way review of the resource- downward, upward
and peer and are sent to the mentor

Meena asked him to prepare to go to Amsterdam for orientation within


the same week which was not acceptable for Nitish

Nitish agreed to go to the orientation to be in Meenas good books

Mr Kapoor required Nitish for the critical project and asked Meena to do
arrangements for Visa and courier to him

Nitish left for orientation at Amsterdam and interacts with MD

Had an argument with HR as he was not compensated for his wifes


travel expenses as promised by Venkat

Mr Alagu not happy with Nitish and called him troublemaker

He was frequently removed from the projects assigned to him

Works with MD on a critical and confidential project

Appreciated by all for his work on the project

Welcomed the opportunity to move to Nagpur to finalize the project
