A full fledged National Highways

Engineer(NH) was created in the
year
2008
to
monitor
and
supervise all National Highway
projects
and
other
related
projects under State PWD funded
by the Ministry of Road Transport
& Highways (MORTH),Govt. of
India.

Note: 2 new Divisions and 10 new Sub Divisions have been

created
recently.

CONCLUSION
The Government of Indias sincere commitment
to improve the infrastructure facilities in the North
East has boosted the prospects of Construction
and Improvement of National Highways in the
state
There are a lot of shortcomings and the
challenges are manifold. However under the
dynamic leadership of our Honble Minister(NH),
tremendous changes are taking place . Further ,we
commit ourselves to improving National Highways
connectivity to acceptable standards within the
state in the next 2 to 3 years.
