what is sterilization?
Sterilization can be defined as any
process that effectively kills or
eliminates transmissible agents
(such as fungi, bacteria, viruses and
prions) from a surface, equipment,
foods, medications, or biological
culture medium.

Different type of sterlizer

Dry Heat
Steam Sterilizer
Heated Chemical Vapor Sterilizers
Chemical Solution
Glass Bead Sterilizers

Dry Heat sterlizer

The dry heat sterilizers employ higher
temperatures to destroy microorganisms. They
are considered effective and safe for metal
instruments because the process does not dull
instrument edges or rust/corrode the
instruments. There are two kinds of 'Dry heat
sterilizers'. The traditional 'toaster oven' style
that is slow and take an hour to sterilize at 320f
(160c), or the COX Rapid Heat Sterilizer which is
using a patented forced air and baffle system
technology to sterilize in 6 minutes at 375f
(190c).

Steam Sterilizer
Steam sterilizers will allow you to sterilize a wide range
of materials. Steam sterilizers (autoclaves) are the
most popular method of sterilization and are made and
sold throughout the world.
Temperature, pressure, and time are the main factors of
this process. The higher the temperature, the greater
the pressure and the shorter the sterilization cycle.
Maximum temperature will rise to 273f (133c).
Steam sterilization , however, may cause unprotected
instruments to corrode and unprotected cutting edges
to dull. Furthermore, excess water in the steam can
provide a portal for microorganism to penetrate wet
instrument packages.

Heated Chemical Vapor

Sterilizers
These type of sterilizers also offer relatively
short cycle times.
Metal instruments can be processed with
minimal rust or corrosion, and cutting edges
remain sharp; however, instruments must be
dried completely before processing.
The sterilizer requires a special solution; and
heat sensitive plastics may be destroyed.
In addition, the unit must be placed in a well
ventilated area to diffuse the chemical odor

Chemical Solution sterlizer

Liquid disinfectants, such as glutaraldehyde, are
widely used in health care facilities. They have
short, inexpensive disinfection cycles..
Typical cycle times and concentrations only
provide disinfecting, which can fail to kill resistant
microorganisms. The solutions are highly
corrosive and toxic; since they come in liquid
form, they can not be used with barrier
packaging. The moment an instrument is
removed from the liquid, its sterility is
compromised.
Immersion in a liquid steriliant is not
recommended because sterilization by liquid
chemicals can not be monitored biologically.

GEA Direct steam sterlizer

During the direct high-heating, steam is injected into
the product by means of a DSI unit (DSI = direct steam
injector). In this way, the product is suddenly heated
and flashed against a low pressure after a very short
holding period and in this way it is cooled again just as
quickly.
This sterilization process shows significant advantages
compared to an indirect high-heating by means of heat
exchangers. In case of indirect high heating the
holding time at high temperatures is much longer. The
short retension time and the possibility to treat high
viscous products are the main advantages of this
technology.

Tetra pak eBeam sterilization

sterilization method, which uses heated hydrogen peroxide,
remains 100% effective, it is energy-consuming, and production
rates can only be increased by expanding the overall size of the
machine.
Electron beam, or eBeam, sterilization is an attractive alternative:
just as effective as hydrogen sterilization, it offers lower
environmental impact and greater scope for production efficiency.
eBeam technology works by using a controlled electron emission
to kill micro-organisms on the surface of a material
However, while eBeam offers considerable advantages, there were
a number of barriers to be overcome including the large size of
existing eBeam lamps before it could be adopted as a viable
alternative

The Tetra Pak E3/CompactFlex for extended

shelf life products has the capacity to
produce 9,000 Tetra Brik portion packs per
hour; the Tetra Pak E3/Flex will offer a
capacity of 7,000 to 8,000 Tetra Brik 900
Edge packages per hour. But it is with the
Tetra Pak E3/Speed line for Tetra Brik Aseptic
125 Slim packages that the platform will
realize its full potential, as capacity soars
from the current 24,000 to 40,000 portion
packs per hour.

HYDROLOCK
CONTINUOUS STERILIZER

The continuous retort ACS is specially designed

for sterilisation of food pouches or flat trays with
a steam air forced flow process. The semi-static
process with over pressure guaranties the
integrity of the packaging.
This continuous sterilizer is specially designed
for medium to large productions and can run
different sizes and different material within the
same machine.
An automated system for handling products and
trays can be part of the supply.

HYDROLOCK
CONTINUOUS ROTARY STERILIZER
The rotary continuous retort ACB is specially designed
for sterilisation of liquids packed in PP, HDPE and glass
bottles.
The Continuous agitation of the product during the
heating and cooling process prevents from any burnt
product. The continuous and agitated process allows
HTST processes (High temperature short time) witch
are recovnized to improve organoleptic qualities and
colours.
This continuous sterilizer is specially designed for
medium to large productions and can run different sizes
and different material within the same machine.

Ventilex Continuous Steam Sterilizer

It is ideal for H.T.S.T decontamination of Spices,
Herbs, Seeds, and other Organic Materials. The
H.T.S.T. process exposes contaminated material
to saturated steam for a very short time, then
dries and cools the product.
This is a simple idea, but is one of the most
practical and effective methods for treating
products in this industry. The continuous
system treats powders next to whole spices,
which is a unique feature of the Ventilex
system.

The process works by feeding the product through a

high-pressure rotary valve that isolates an autoclave
from the ambient room. Inside this autoclave, a shaking
table transports product to a steam-pressurized chamber.
Condensation builds on the product surface and the
controlled heat creates the appropriate amount of steam.
This kills unwanted bacteria and pathogens. After it has
been treated, the product is discharged through a
secondary rotary valve, into the fluid bed dryer.
Here, the condensed moisture is driven off and the
product is returned to the original moisture level or dried
to a new moisture level.

Heraeus UV sterlizer
Food producers are facing many challenges in connection
with the HACCP hygiene regulations and this includes the
sterilisation of conveyor belts.
However, you can solve this problem with our Steribelt
system.
The high performance Steribelt UV system has been used
primarily to sterilise the surfaces of assembly belts in the
meat-processing industry.
Due to the flat geometry of the lamps installed, exposure is
precisely adjusted to the flat surface of the conveyor belt.

Cox Dry Heat Sterilizer

This has a great benefit, cause you
may run a spore test, record the
data, and if the spore test result will
come back negative, you may
assume that every cycle that day, or
week would also be negative.
It is the fastest sterlizer as it take 6
minute for a cycle.

It takes about 15-30 minutes for the
temperature to be reached (it
depends on the load). In addition to
that--allow one(1) hour to sterilize at

The Laboratory models have an adjustable control
and may be preset up to 121C (250F) or 110C
(230F). Timed sterilization (060 min.) starts after
operating temperature is reached. The 103kPa
(15psi) operating pressure is reached in a few
minutes.
The door is self-sealing and cannot be opened until
steam pressure is completely exhausted.Sterilizer
features a 0207kPa (030psi) pressure gauge,
temperature gauge, low water cut-off, safety
valve, thermostatic steam trap, and signal light.
