What should you
do ?

Employers and people in further education will


know you are capable of studying a language.
Studies have proven that students who study a
language get better exam results, even in Science
and Maths, than those who give languages up .
Studying another language improves your
knowledge of your own language.

Employers will prefer you because you will be able show you are
confident and can communicate well .
People who speak another language get better jobs and salaries than
those who only speak their own language.
Youll be speaking an international language .
17% of all the business in the whole world is done in French .

E-Bac
Stands for English Baccalaureate
Anyone achieving grade C+ GCSE in..
Maths
Science
English
A Humanity subject (geography or history)
And a foreign LANGUAGE
will achieve the E-Bac special certificate

Colleges, Universities and EMPLOYERS will


be looking for people with this qualification
above all others
So French is an extremely important
subject within the school

What kinds of jobs

useful to know French,
Spanish or Italian?

So, French isnt only just any good if you want to be a


teacher, translator or interpreter
Youll be pleased to know that 90% of jobs where languages are
asked for are not those sorts of jobs !
And, surveys suggest employers pay
8% additional salary or more when languages are required for
the job !

How can I improve my levels?


Attend and participate in all
lessons
Learn from mistakes ~ always make
corrections
Learn vocabulary regularly
Practice new phrases
Complete all homeworks
