Waters role for Plant

Water supports seeds for doing the germination by
imbibition

Water acts as a solvent

Water is used for carrying of nutrients
from the soil
Water can keep the turgidity of
plant cell

water acts as primary factor of plant

defense

GEOGRAPHY
The area is close to the equator, the intensity of the
sunlight is more dominant that the higher rainfall that led
to the availability of abundant water in the soil.

SEASON

The geographical position of Indonesia as an archipelagic

country located around the equator.
The amount of rainfall is positively correlated to the water

AIR HIGROSKOPIS
kesetimbangan
dengan
atmosfer
pada
kelembaban yang relatif tertentu pada suhu
tertentu, jika dia berikatan terlalu kuat maka

turun
ke
bawah
pada
lapisan-lapisan
dibawahnya.Bila air dalam jumlah yang cukup maka
lapisan yang basah ini kejenuhan permanen yang
disebut permukaan air tanah.

TITIK LAYU SEMENTARA

Adalah kandungan air tanah dimana akar-akar
tanaman untuk saat tertentu tidak menyerap
air,sehingga tanaman mengalami kelayuan
sementara.

tanah, sehingga tanaman menjadi layu. Tanaman
uap
air.Hal
ini
terjadi
karena
peristiwa
plasmolisis.Plasmolisis yang terjadi pada sel
tanaman sudah lanjut dan sel terlanjur mati,
meskipun tanaman disiram deplasmolisis tidak akan
terjadi, tanaman mati

MOISTURE
The moisture of water vapor content of the air expressed as
humidity. Water vapor gets into the air by evaporation
from moist surface and bodies of water and from
transpiration of plants.
Humidity is expressed in terms of the amount of water
vapor a given volume or weight of air hold.

TYPE IS MOISTURE
1. Relative humidity
The weight of water vapor per-unit volume of air
2. Absolute humidity
The measure of the amount of water vapor actually in the
air could hold if saturated

PLANS RESPONSES OF
MOISTURE
When plans face a moisture strass
during a period of short or
protracted drought, they are faced
with the prospect of either closing
stomata to retain water, thus
reducing

photosynthesis,

or

opening stomata to take in CO2,

losing needed water.

Other
pland
(termed
Homoiohydric), mostly ferns
and seed plants, are able to
maintain within limits a stable
water balance independent of
fluctuations of atmospheric
moisture condition.
That is made possible by
water stored in a vacuole
within the cell, a protactive
cuticule that slows down
evaporation, stomata that
regulate transpiration, and an
extensive root system that
draws water from the soil
