retail caf chain , with 1500+ outlets in
150+ cities.
Currently involved all the activities from
blending and retailing coffee to plantation
and harvesting.
One of the top six coffee outlets in the
world.

Introduction

The SAP ERP implementation in CCD which resulted


in such expansion.

To study how IS implementation helps different


departments in sharing a common database
repository and improving overall productivity and
efficiency

To analyze the current situation of CCD and give


suggestions
and
recommendations
for
improvement.

To manage its complex and geographically diverse
business, company has no full proof solution to
handle production and supply chain management.

To integrate sales with the inventory, inventory with


its finance and suppliers with logistics.

What is IS?

IS is computer based system An integrated set of components


for collecting, storing, and processing data and for providing
information, knowledge, and digital products which helps
manager to organise, evaluate and smoothly run business
operations.

The highly structured information provided by these systems


allows managers to evaluate an organization's performance by
comparing current with previous outputs.

ERP IMPLEMENTATION

Caf Coffee Day opted to run its SAP ERP application on SUSE
Linux Enterprise Server, based on the operating system's

PSI Data Systems customised the SAP software for Caf Coffee
Day's requirements, managed its rollout across the organisation,
and now provides support and maintenance for SAP ERP.

Caf Coffee Day selected SUSE Linux Enterprise Server Priority


Support for SAP Applications, provided by Wipro Infotech. This
joint support offering from us and SAP gives Caf Coffee Day a
single support entry point, reducing complexity, accelerating
problem resolution and cutting the total cost of ownership.

The solution also provides seamless integration with SAP Solution


Manager into the SAP Global Support backbone.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Consumer base is youth centric. So the company should come up


with the strategy to tap customers from other age group as well.

As they are growing, capturing more market. To enhance


networking and more efficiency processing, they should try cloud
base platform and in-memory processing option such as SAP
HANA.

As of now, they have online ordering and delivery option only in


Bangalore. So they can look into options such as e-Business, mBusiness etc.

CONCLUSION

An efficient IS and latest technology is need of today and CCD is


striking example of such a success story.

ERP implementation provides an economical, reliable and


scalable platform forrapid growth path.

An efficient ERP system will enable high quality customer service


especially when you are targeting youth consumer base.
