CONCLUSION
The difference between the outlet temperature of benzene
flowing
in
Hairpin
Heat
Exchanger
is
higher than the outlet temperature of benzene flowing in Shell and
Tube Heat Exchanger where the outlet temperature of benzene in
Hairpin Heat Exchanger amounted to 316.623 K while the average
temperature at outlet Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger is 304 K. The
outlet velocity on Hairpin Heat Exchanger was lower than the
velocity at Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger so the Pressure drop on
Hairpin Heat Exchanger is greater than the pressure on Shell and
Tube Heat Exchanger where the pressure drop of the outlet inner
pipe for hairpin is 25352.7543 Pa and the pressure drop of the outlet
tube for shell and tube is 145.57 Pa. From that comparative, the
hairpin heat exchanger has a better result for transferring heat
because it has a bigger heat transfer surface area and a longer.
