EQ: Why are plants green and where do they
get their food?

Plants are green because:


They have chloroplasts which have the green
pigment Chlorophyll
Chlorophyll is the pigment which absorbs sunlight
The leaves of the plants is the site where
chloroplasts are
found
Plants use sunlight to make their own food

Photosynthesis:
- The Process by which
plants make their food
- It occurs in the presence
of light, water and carbon
dioxide
- Their food is glucose and
they release oxygen in
the air!
