Presentation Outline:

Introduction

Males and females have different cultural messages in their positions in the
society.

For men, they do not emphasize the connection to others, foster individuation
and independence, and support a higher sense of self-salience. Consequently,
with this strong sense of independence from others and others feelings may
let them to act out against others more easily. As a result, males tend to be
more likely have problems like delinquency .

On the other hand, for women, they emphasize the interaction and
socialization to others, foster reliance on and empathy for others, and lead to
a lower sense of self-salience. Having a sense of interconnectedness and
concern for others feelings and the low priority on their selves may cause
them to bring negative emotions inward.

As a result, females will be more likely to experience depression .

Malaysia.
They were chosen voluntarily.

answered agree and neutral.

different between male and female
students?
Being alone and praying were the most
favorable solution when they are stressed.

Discussion
A. Conclusion

The majority of students stated that their mothers were more

authoritative compared to their fathers. As far as the students
perceptions were concerned, this result was similarly reported in a
research paper written by Lin and Lian (2011) at two public secondary
schools in Malaysia. This finding was supported by past study, in which
the parenting styles did affect the development of coping behaviour.

It was worryingly found females were more vulnerable towards stress

compared to males. This result was correlated similarly with the past
finding of McLean and Anderson (2009), in which they stated among
children girls are more likely than boys to experience any anxiety
disorder.

It was clearly showed that there was no difference in coping behaviour

styles as both male students and female students favored being alone
in the room and praying as their best solution for their coping behaviour.
Based on the findings of Piko(2001) in which no differences could be
discovered between coping behaviour styles in both males and females.

B. Implication

Therefore the methods in which parents should have the parenting

education, the therapists and educators to prevent future emotional
problems, and praying as the best coping behaviour that should be
practiced in everyday lives.

C. Recommendation

Future researchers are recommended to further study the coping behaviour in relation with depressive symptoms and delinquent behaviour. In
addition, it is suggested to enlarge the sample of study in order to obtain better findings and results.

Discussion

Conclusion

According to Ahmad (2012) a former campaignadviserto the Governor of Jakarta, 2014 will be the year
to see how social media is used and abusedfor political agendas by various political parties and
presidential candidates. Some 44% of Indonesias population is under the age of 25, guaranteeing a
steady stream of new voters in the years ahead. Indonesia is a youth-orientated society, said Professor
David Hill of Murdoch University. There has always been a special political role for youth in Indonesian
society.

Majority of the students are still not aware of the presidential election. The result of the questionnaire
mentioned that most of them like to know the political campaign situation through social media.

Implication

It is suggested that the freedom of press have a big impact in shaping good country by democracy as
mentioned. In modern democracy, the mass media has not only been raising as one important element
of political communication, beyond the political organization and citizens (McNair,2011).

Recommendation

Future researches are recommended to further study about media behavior in shaping mind and opinion
of the public, not only students about the coming election in Indonesia in 2014 next year. In addition, it is
suggested that the researchers should enlarge the knowledge about the benefit of supporting the
presidential campaign in Indonesia, for a better future.
