Load Sensing Pump

What is Load Sensing?

It directs oil to the circuit that has the
priority for the oil on demand.

Purpose of Load Sensing

To give priority to the Steering and Brake
operation.
These two circuits are vital to machine
safety.

Load Sensing Pump

On start up oil
fills the
steer and brake
circuits.

Load Sensing Pump

When the circuit
is charged then the
oil, via the filter,
acts on the spool.

Load Sensing Pump

It overcomes the
spring and the
spool moves.
Oil is directed to
both circuits.

Load Sensing Pump

If a signal pressure
comes into the LS
then it combines
with the spring-

And priority
is given to the
steering and
brakes
on demand.

Points to Remember
Keep the tilt circuit shock valve adjustment
to the specification. Damage to the
compensating cylinder may result from
incorrect pressures.
Always check the compensating cylinder
bushes at each service.
