General Rules
There will be 6 preliminary matches
First round will be knockout and the winners will qualify for

Quarter Finals
There will be one lucky loser, chosen from the 6 losers
of the preliminary matches and one lucky wild card, who
qualifies for the quarter finals; lucky looser will be selected
on the basis of net run rate, goal/point difference
All the international rules for the respective sports will be
followed
If any section fail to turn up within the stipulated time or is
unable to put forth a team, then their opponents will get a
bye
There will be no re-scheduling of matches.
The referees / SportsCom members decision will be final
and above any challenge by the participating teams.

Cricket (Men)
There will be one team per section comprising 11 + 3 (reserve)
players
The event will be played in day light with a green tennis ball &
neutral umpires
The result of the tied game will be decided by the use of the
super over
One bowler can bowl a maximum of 3 overs and the other
bowlers are allowed a maximum of 2 overs
First 3 overs for each side will be the power play, where fielding
restrictions apply
Format of the Games:
No. of overs per side: 10 overs
For Final match, No. of overs per side : 12 overs

Futsal (Men)
There will be one team from the class comprising 9 players (6
+ 3 subs)
Rolling subs are allowed
Goalkeeper may change places with any other player
Duration: 2 halves; 10 minutes each
The event will be played in day light / artificial lights with
neutral referee
Half time: 5 minutes
Goal has to be scored from the opponents half.
Goal cannot be scored in the following cases :
1. Direct Goal Kick
2. Direct from a kick in (via an outside)
. The result of the tied game will be decided by penalty shootout.

Basketball (Men)
There will be one team per section comprising 10 players (5 +
5 subs)
Duration: 4 quarters; 8 minutes each
The event will be played in day light / artificial lights with
neutral referee
Timeouts : 1 per quarter (1 min)

Basketball (Women)
There will be one team per section comprising 6 players (3 + 3
subs)
Duration: 4 quarters; 5 minutes each
The event will be played in day light / artificial lights with
neutral referee
Timeouts : 1 per quarter (1 min)
It will be a half-court match

Lawn Tennis (Men)

Team Size: 3 boys


Format: Each game is a best of 3 matches
Format of the Matches: Each match is a race to 6 games
Order of Matches: Mens singles, Mens doubles, Mens singles
Any player can play only one singles match

Volleyball (Men)
There will be one team per section comprising 6 + 3 (Subs)
players
The event will be played in day light / artificial lights with
neutral umpires
Format of the Game: Each match is a best of 3 sets with each
set being a race to 25 points (Final Set, if required, 15 points)

Table Tennis (Men & Women)


Team Size: 3 boys + 2 girls
Format of the Matches: Best of three games till quarters and Best
of five beyond
Each game would be a race to 11 points
Order of Games: Mens singles and Womens singles
Mens Singles and Womens Singles will be treated as Individual
Event as in Olympics with individual players representing their
Sections

Chess (Men / Women)


Team Size : 3 (2 boys & 1 girl)
Matches: Best of three games (Boys x 2, Girls x 1)
The Matches will be timed; each match will be for 40 mins (i.e.
each participant will timed for 20 mins)
To Win:
If a player delivers a checkmate, the game is over and that player
wins, no matter what is subsequently noticed about the time on the clock
If the opponent runs out of time

Draw:
The game is automatically a draw if the player to move is not in check but
has no legal move. This situation is called astalemate
If both the players mutually agree for a draw

If all 3 matches are drawn, then there will be one final match
and the winner of this match progress to the quarter finals

Carrom (Men / Women)


Team Size: 3 boys + 2 girls Playing Members: 3 boys + 1 girl
Format of the Games: Each game is a best of 3 matches
Order of Matches: Mens singles, Womens singles, Mens
doubles
To Win:
The first player / team to pocket their carrom pieces (9) and the
queen
The person taking part in mens singles cannot participate in
mens doubles

Pool (Men / Women)


Team Size: 3 boys + 2 girls Playing Members: 3 boys + 1 girl
Format of the Games: Each game is a best of 3 matches
Order of Matches: Mens singles, Womens singles, Mens
doubles
Each of the singles and doubles will be Best of 3 Frames till
quarterfinals; and Race to 3 Frames till finals.
Above rules are applicable for both 8 Ball & 9 Ball formats.
