Evolution of Education

Education is constant, but ever changing.

During ancient era, mode of education was oral transfer of

knowledge and later on documentation started.

It was followed by introduction of paper , development of printing

and books, use of boards and chalk, use of teaching aids,
calculators and models.

Later on in recent times, visual aids supported by CDs and

graphics evolved.

Requirement for change

During teaching and listening only about 30% of the content is

retained by brain which increases upon repeated revision. Still,
100% can never be retained.

During any knowledge transfer session, only during first 35% of

the time, the brain is active and then deviates.

There re constraints such as physical condition, emotional

condition, logistical (facilities) and time constraints (duration of
teaching) which affects education and learning.
