IDEA
Our Idea is to create a women and child

safety system because in todays time city

like Delhi , Mumbai is not safe for us specially
for women and child while they are working
outside.
So here we try to make a safety gadget with
the help of various technology which can
protect us when we are alone.

INTRODUCTION
Women and child safety system, is basically a

safety system which can protect us by

tracking the location with the help of GPS and
sending the location by SMS with the help of
GSM technology.
we try to make a safety gadget which is just
like a wrist watch which have a pinch button,
RF transmitter in it. On the other side a device
which include a RF receiver, GPS, GSM, LCD
interfaces with microcontroller.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Suppose a lady is in trouble so she just have to

pinch a button which is in device like wrist watch.

After pressing the button RF transmitter start
transmitting the signal and another gadget which
is inside the ladys bag start receiving that signal
by RF receiver which is interface with
microcontroller.
Now with help of GPS technology we can track
the location .
LCD is used to display the latitude and longitude.

With the help of GSM technology we can send

the message to some number which is stored

in database whenever we press a button.

RADIO FREQUENCY
Radio frequency is an electromagnetic wave

frequency that lies in the range extending 3KHz

to 300GHz.
AnRF module(radio frequency module) is a
(usually) small electronic device used to
transmit and/or receive radio signals between
two devices.
In anembedded system it is often desirable to
communicate with another devicewirelessly. For
many applications the medium of choice is RF
since it does not require line of sight.

ThisRF modulecomprises of anRF

Transmitterand anRF Receiver. The

transmitter/receiver (Tx/Rx) pair operates at a
frequency of434 MHz. An RF transmitter
receives serial data and transmits it wirelessly
through RF through its antenna .
The transmission occurs at the rate of 1Kbps 10Kbps.The transmitted data is received by an
RF receiver operating at the same frequency
as that of the transmitter.

RF-TRANSMITTER
MODULE
An RF transmitter module

is a smallPCB sub-assembly
capable of transmitting a radio
wave andmodulatingthat wave
to carry data.
Transmitter modules are usually
implemented alongside amicro
controllerwhich will provide data to the
module which can be transmitted.

RF-RECEIVER MODULE
An RF receiver module receives

the modulated RF signal, and

demodulates it.
There are two types:

super-heterodyne receivers
super-regenerative receivers.

Super-regenerative modules are usually low

cost and low power designs using a series of

amplifiers to extract modulated data from a
carrier wave.
Super-heterodyne receivers have a
performance advantage over superregenerative; they offer increased accuracy
and stability over a largevoltageand
temperature range.

GPS
TheGlobal Positioning System(GPS) is a

space-basednavigation
system that provides
location and time
information in all weather
conditions, anywhere on or near the Earth
where there is an unobstructed line of sight to
four or more GPS satellite .

The system provides critical capabilities to

military, civil, and commercial users around

the world. The United States government
created the system, maintains it, and makes it
freely accessible to anyone with aGPS
receiver.

GSM
GSM(Global System for

Mobile Communications),
is a standard developed by
theEuropean
Telecommunications Standards Institute(ETSI)
to describe protocols for second-generation
digitalcellular networksused bymobile
phones.

The GSM module is communicate the

microcontroller with mobile phones through

UART. To communicate over UART or USART, we
just need three basic signals which are namely,
RXD (receive), TXD (transmit), GND (common
ground).
GSM modem interfacing with microcontroller for
SMS control of industrial equipments. The
sending SMS through GSM modem when
interfaced with microcontroller or PC is much
simpler as compared with sending SMS through
UART.

APPLICATIONS
Women and child safety device is very useful

in case of kidnapping for tracking location.

Its Help in finding out bags etc.
Can use in military.
