DATA LOGGING
The process where computer
used to collect data through
sensors, data analyzed and save
the results of the collection and
analysis become the output.
The data logger is the electronic
instrument that records the
measurement over time.

Title :
Acid-Base Titration Using PH Sensor
Objectives :
1.To perform a potentiometric titration of an
acidic solution of known molarity.

1. Citric acid
. Plays a role in one famous stomach remedy,
or antacid.
. Antacids are more generally associated with
alkaline substances, used for their ability to
neutralize stomach acid.
Example : The fizz in Alka-Seltzer
2. Aluminium hydroxide
Is an interesting base, because it has a
wide number of applications, including
its use in antacids.
It reacts with and neutralizes stomach
acid (Hydrochloric acid, HCl).
Examples : found in commercial antacids
such as Di-Gel, Gelusil and Maalox (relief
of heatburn and acid indigestion).
Questions
1.What does the graph tell you about the
amount of hydrochloric acid and sodium
hydroxide needed for the titration?
2.Explain the difference between an endpoint
and equivalence point in a titration.
3.Can we titrate a solution of unknown
concentration with another solution of
unknown concentration and still get the
meaningfull answer? Explain.
4.What is the chemical equation involved in
this acid-base titration?
CONCLUSION
Nowadays, the fast growing technology
has influences the direction of learning
process especially in science laboratory
classes. We as a future Science teacher
should be able to implement data logger
in laboratory class. The technology that
available such as the data logger, makes
practical work becomes more efficient as
students do not have to spend more time
to set up the apparatus and recording the
data.
