BEETHOVEN

20th CENTURY

In the 20th century phoenix was a very popular band. Phoenix is an Indie rockband from Versailles,
France consisting of Thomas Mars, Deck d'Arcy, Christian Mazzalai and Laurent Brancowitz. The group
got its touring start on the French bar circuit doing Hank Williams and Prince covers to drunken audiences.
Two years later the band took on the name Phoenix and pressed 500 copies of a single on its own label,
Ghettoblaster.

parents and adopted as an infant by a German family in Augsburg, in the south-west of
Bavaria. As a youth, he attended high school at St. Stephan and studied at the private

THEATRE

Die Mnchner Nationaltheater ist eine Oper. Es ist die Heimat der Bayerischen
Staatsoper und des Bayerischen Staatsballetts. Das erste Theater wurde 1810 von
Knig Maximilian I. von Bayern, weil die nahe gelegenen Cuvillis Theater hatte zu
wenig Platz. Der Bau begann am 26. Oktober 1811 aber unterbrochen wurde 1813
durch Finanzierungsprobleme. 1817 ein Feuer im Rohbau. Das neue Theater erffnet
am 12. Oktober 1818 mit einer Leistung von Die Weihe von Ferdinand Frnzl, wurde
aber bald zerstrt durch ein anderes Feuer am 14. Januar 1823;
