Lego Desert Racer

Introduction:
These instructions will provide a step by step explanation of how to put together
the Lego Desert Racer. The entire process should take about 15-20 minutes and
does not require any additional materials. The recommended age group is 6-12.

Materials Provided in the Package

2 Clear Headlights (clear circular attachments)

12. 1 Yellow Square

2 (1X1) Small Black Squares

13. 2 (2X1) Dark Gray Rectangular Pieces

3.

2 Off-White L-Shaped Seat Pieces

14. 2 Black Vents (Black hollow rectangle with line in the

middle)

4.

2 Black Curved Pieces

15. 4 Tire Treads

5.

1 (2X1) Grey Rectangular Clamps

16. 2 Black Axles

6.

2 (2X4) Red Rectangles with Elevated Ends

17. 3 Black Rectangular L Shaped Pieces

7.

2 Red Square Clamps

18. 1 Handle Bar

2 Red Brake Lights (red squares)

19. 1 Grey Tube

1 (2X4) Red Rectangular Piece

20. 1 (1X4) Long Dark Grey Rectangle

10. 1 (2X6) Black Rectangular Piece

11. 4 Tire Rims

Step 1
Pieces needed:
1 #13, 1 #9, 1 #17, and #10
Place 1 2x1 dark grey rectangle (#13), 1 2x4 red rectangle
(#9), and 1 black rectangular L-shaped piece (#17) onto the
2x6 black rectangle (#10).

Step 2
Pieces needed:
1 #12, 1 #17, 1 #13
Place the 2 x 2 yellow square (#12) towards the back of the
object, add a new black rectangular L-shaped piece (#17)
towards front of the object, and a new 2x1 dark grey
rectangle (#13) piece behind the new L-shaped piece.

Step 3
Pieces needed:
2 #16
Attach the 2 black axles (#16) to front and back of the object.

Step 4
Pieces needed:
2 #6, 1 #14
Flip the vehicle over and rotate the vehicle 180 degrees.
Attach the 2 red rectangles with elevated ends (#6) at the
edges of the 2x6 black rectangle (#10). Attach one black vent
(#14) next to the front red rectangle with elevated ends (#6).
Yellow Piece in

Step 5
Pieces needed:
1 #18, 1 #5, 2 #2, 1 #17
Place 1 new black rectangular L-shaped piece (#17) and the
2 small black squares (#2) onto the original red rectangle.
Then place the grey rectangular clamp (#5) on top of the
black squares (#2s), and attach the handlebars (#18) to the
clamp.

Step 6
Pieces needed:
2 #4, 2 #1
Place the 2 black curved pieces (#4) onto the black L-shaped
piece and the grey rectangular clamp, and place the 2 clear
headlights (#1) onto the prongs of the black L-shaped piece.

Step 7
Pieces needed:
2 #7, 1 #20, 1 #14, 1#19
Attach the two red square clamps (#7)
to both sides of the 1x4 dark grey
rectangle (#20)
Add a black vent (#14) in between the
red clamps.
Place the grey tube (#19) into the
clamps to form the bumper.

Step 8
Pieces needed:
Bumper from previous step
Add Bumper to the lower Black Rectangular L Shaped
Piece on front of the vehicle.

Step 9
Pieces needed:
2 #3
Rotate vehicle 90 degrees and add the 2 Off-White LShaped Seat Pieces (#3) to the rear of the vehicle.

Final Step
Pieces needed:
4 #11, 4 #15
Rotate vehicle back to original position and insert
the 4 tire rims (#11) into the 4 tire treads
(#15). Connect rims to the 2 Black Axles
(#16).
