Animal Portfolio

BERENICE GONZALEZ

Introduction
You and all the students in Ms. Katzs class have magically
become zoologists. You have all been chosen to become
zoologists because you have become animal experts! A zoo on
the other side of the world needs your help to learn about your
animal before their animal arrives at their zoo. You are the expert
on your animal and they need you NOW!

Task
Ms. Katzs zoologists have been chosen to help the Yokohama
Zoo in Japan . Your job is to make a detailed portfolio of the
animal you are an expert on. Than you will be sent to Japan to
teach the Japanese zoologists all about your animals physical
structures and the importance of your animals physical
structures before their animal arrives at their zoo. You must also
create a detailed and labeled picture of your animal. Are you up
for the task zoologists?

Process
1. Choose an animal you wish to research (Each person will have a
different animal)
2. Students must first complete and use a research fact sheet to find
specific information at home about the animal they have chosen.

Students can use the internet website I have provided, encyclopedias, the
library, and other books to research information about their animal.
FACT SHEET DUE __October 13, 2016_________.

3. Students will than use the fact sheet to fill out their portfolio templates
and write their Animal Research Report.
4. Students must than design their portfolio in any way.
5. The picture of the animal can also be designed in any way but MUST be
labeled.
FINAL PROJECT DUE__November 13,2016________.

The student will be required to present the final project to the class.

The portfolio must include a cover page with the name of the
animal centered at the top, a picture of the animal in the center
and name of zoologist at the bottom right (students name).

Students must cut the given templates and pasted onto the
portfolio in any order.
On the last page of your portfolio please paste or staple your
Animal Research Report
