WMS Engineering Tasks by Work Op

The Schedule ID is assigned by Project Controls. The tasks will be grouped by work op code. All like work ops with in
the same area and engineering center, will be coded alike. For example, C30 shows 7 tasks. These will all have the same
Schedule ID assignment. This resource data is exported, based on the schedule ID and imported into P3.

Detailed P3 Schedule Activities

The schedule is developed independent of WMS. The detailed activities are logically tied in P3. All activities that are
associated with a single work op, will be coded alike using the WBS Activity Code field.
The activities are also declared to be WBS types of activities. This feature will group these activities to a single WBS
activity that functions like a hammock.
The WBS activity type allows resource information to reside on the activity. A resource curve will be assigned to the
WBS activities. The man-hour data will export out of WMS based on the schedule ID assignment. The data will then
be imported into P3 and reside on the WBS activities types.

WBS Activities in P3

Engineering has predefined the resource curve at the work op level of detail. The resource information is then rolled
up to each discipline to produce progress curves by discipline and overall project. The tabular information to produce
the progress curves comes from P3. This data may be entered into PCMS to produce the project curves.
