Who is Claude Monet?

Why is his work
inspirational?
Claude Monet was a famous French artist known for his
initiation of the Impressionism art movement.
Impressionism is an art style that focuses mainly on
the natural effects of light and uses small brushstrokes
to capture these effects.
Monet was of the most successful at the Impressionism
movement. His work is impactful among us today
because it has brought inspiration to very a unique
style of art that now, can bee seen on numerous
objects such as calendars, postcards, and even inside
art museums. Monets artwork has also sparked a
great influence to generations of abstract painters,
such as Jackson Pollock.

Comparison- Purpose and Influence

Purpose
Monets House of
Parliament Sun was made
for the sole purpose to
initiate the Impressionism
art movement.
However, my silhouette
painting was made in
October around Halloween,
so it is supposed project a
mood related to that.

Influence
Monets House of Parliament Sun spurred a new, remarkable art
style that has motivated and inspired many artists around the
world.
My silhouette did not have any influences.

Would Monet have liked my work?

In all honesty, I do not think Monet would have liked my
work. Reason being, my work was in many ways different
and more un- professional than the art of Monet. For
instance, Monets artwork emphasized the way objects
are captured by light, as well as different angles and
perception, and a more ordinary subject matter. My
painting, however, differs greatly in a way where I did not
utilize the effect of unusual angles and the emphasis of
light.
All in all, this is why I think Monet would have disliked my
work.
