CALIBRATION OF UT

MACHINE WITH V1 BLOCK

What is calibration?
Calibration is standardizing the
equipment with known standards
We have different stand blocks in which
now, we are using the IIW v1 block.

The equipment require are

Ultrasonic flaw detector

Probes
Normal probe
Angle probe
Cables
couplants

In calibration with v1 block we do,

Thickness measurement in steel and
in Perspex
Vertical linearity
horizontal linearity
Sensitivity
resolution

Setting the machine

Set the machine
at required
velocities and
range.
