Background

Background
The accidents that
caused by use of the
fuel gas is still going
on

 Most of these
accident occur to
the poor installation
condition of fuel gas
and the lack of
knowledge to use it

Hazard of Fuel Gas

Hazard of LPG
LPG in gas form = 2 x air
Tend to sink and accumulate in lower
parts of container
LPG in liquid form cold burns to the
skin because its rapid vaporization
Forms flammable mixture with air in
concentrations 2% - 10%
Fire and explosion hazard if stored and
used incorrectly
Vapor/air mixtures can be ignites from
distance and travel back to the source

Causes of LPG
Accidents
1. Bad Habits
Peoples/Food traders
often change their gas
and open the regulator while the fire is still
burning in their stove
They light their cigarettes when changing the
fuel gas
They dont check whether they have installed
the equipment LPG correctly

2. Equipments failure:
a. Components doesnt have SNI license

Peoples dont realize that their regulator

have a poor quality and doesnt have SNI
license
For example, regulator will not cover the
tube well if it hasa poor quality and
doesnt have SNI license

b. External disturbance
Its not only because of the hose that
maybe have a poor quality
Also by eternal disturbance, like the bite of
rats.
The risk of this disturbance by the rats is
high enough if people placed LPG at the
bottom

Ventilation
Ventilation installation can
prevent the gas to be
accumulated

Chances of explosion could increase if the room isnt

fitted with proper ventilation installation
A good ventilation installation when using LPG at not
only on the top, but also at the bottom of the room

Accident
In 2015: more than 15 cases of
Transjakarta bus is on fire
In 2016: at least 2
But those accidents are not caused by CNG,
because it was not explode.

The form of sentence is an informative and
persuasive sentence to attract the attention
of the viewer and persuade the them to
apply the message that delivered on video

3. Stop-Motion

Combines photography with animation technology.

Media used: dolls, paper, drawings on paper, drawing on the
board, wax, etc. There will be photographed every movement.
We doesnt need to have the ability to draw. Just prepare
media then we must move them little by little while we
photographed every of their movement.
It required a high level of diligence and patience.

Preventive of LPG
Accident
Consider the tube is well-sealed and
in a good condition. All of components
must have SNI logo
Tighten the clamp in regulator and the
stove, and check the awl has installed
properly
Install the regulator, then install the
rubber ring/tube seal properly
Plug and tighten the regulator to the
tube, turn the knob clockwise (90)
and tighten it

Make sure the hose is not

kinked or crushed, and the
gas cylinder has attached
properly
To prevent accidents, placed
gas tube near the vents. It
will be better if the vent is in
the bottom of room
If gas stove been turned on
and not lit, please alert the
LPG gas can come out,
accumulate in the room

When gas leak (with smell and
noise), release the regulator, move
LPG to outdoor
