Carmen Jean Melillo has Built and Led Execution of

Business Strategies

Carmen Jean Melillo has over 20 plus years of experience working with
different chemical companies. During her career, she has worked with a
wide range of professionals, in a wide range of corporate environments,
and has travelled globally for business.
A common thread of her experiences shows that she has been key in
leading and developing business strategies that cut across divisional
boundaries, and for this reason it has resulted in continuous business
growth and improved business performance.
Carmen J Melillo has been in a series of sales and marketing roles herself
within the chemicals industry. She understands price, promotion,
positioning and placement very well, is astute in defining the competitive
landscape, the barriers to entry, costs, manufacturing capability, niche
markets, market trends, and the like.

Due to this she was great at understanding the marketplace and gaining a
pulse ahead of many, all of which drove new product/new growth.
Ms Melillos knowledge of many end-use markets gave her the insight to
make outstanding contributions.
As she moved up the ranks in companies, building on her sales and
marketing skill sets, Ms Melillo continued to be promoted moving up to lead
multiple cross-functional groups and people.
Carmen J Melillo holds a Bachelors Degree in Biology and is a Magna Cum
Laude graduate.
She has attended various executive management programs, has presented
at several international conferences, and holds a US Patent. She is known
for her excellent leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.

Without a doubt, Ms Melillo knows how to get at inefficiencies, break down

barriers, improve cost structure, streamline organizations to promote
effectiveness, and build a great team of people empowered and
accountable. Mobilizing organizations/people, challenging the status-quo
and building relationships with others are her strengths.
According to Carmen, all disciplines must work together to make it happen,
and making it happen starts with a clearly defined strategy that is on
paper, vetted and understood across the organization. Sales, marketing,
technology, supply chain, manufacturing, asset management, and customer
service certainly need to be part of this process. Whether it is Carmen
leading the team herself, or leading an organization, she holds herself to
the same standards.
In fact, in all her roles Carmen not only emphasized the non-silo or crossfunctional mentality, but strongly supported the involvement of external
stakeholders in the process.
For this reason she was very involved with Advisory Boards, key customers,
outside consultants, and industry organizations.
