footage clip of a monsoon. The purpose of this is to show our target audience the consequences
climate refugees have to face around the world, and also the drastic change our world can
become if we do not act now on important environmental issues like rising water levels.

Anything else: First, the scene is going to start out with a news broadcaster talking about
climate refugees. Then the screen will split into two pieces. The 1 st third of the screen on the left
side will be video footage of ocean level rises with a small subtitle underneath. The other 2/3 rds

Anything else: A climate refugee expert will be analyzing trends and explaining

in depth the implications of this topic. Key terms will be appearing on the
screen as the expert speaks.

This effect will be made using a series of PowerPoint slides. Also, another
animation will be a map with icons appearing in all the locations where
rising water levels are creating climate refugees around the world.

Duration: 1-1.5 minutes
Audio: Music playing quietly continued from last scene
Camera angles: Establishing shot, full shot, medium shot, down shot, POV
shot, dolly shot
Characters, props: Reporter, green screen
Location: Reporter live with climate refugees
Tweens/motion: Expand in, dissolve out.
Anything else: Reporter will be live at a place with climate refugees. Both
stock footage, and still images will be used along with a green screen to

Audio: Music continues from last scene but gets much louder. At this point in

the video, the music will be its loudest at the climax of the song.

Anything else: A selection of about 10-20 still images will be used played for

about 0.5-1 second each, all after each other in a sequence. The purpose of
this montage is for our target audience to see all the damage happening
around the world because of rising sea levels and how this is directly affecting
climate refugees.

Panning

Anything else: This will be the concluding scene talking about how our target

audience can make a difference in their everyday lives in relation to this


problem. I think it would be good to identify three strategies, following the rule of
threes. One of them could be as simple as to donating to a cause like
Greenpeace which could use your donation to act on this issue. , while others
could be more advanced like converting your energy source into a clean energy
source like solar powered, to reduce green house gases, and therefore rising
water levels.
