Based on Republic Act 9292 or the Electronics


Engineering Law of 2004, a Professional
Electronics Engineer shall embrace and
consist of all of the above plus the sole
authority to provide consulting services as
defined in this Act and to sign and seal
electronics plans, drawings, permit
applications, specifications, reports and other
technical documents prepared by
himself/herself and/or under his direct
supervision.
A Professional Electronics Engineer is
mandated by the RA 9292 and is regulated by
the Professional Regulations Commission
(PRC)

1.Registered Electronics Engineer in the


Philippines;
2.Membership from the Accredited Professional
Organization;
3.Certified experience record of active selfpractice and/or employment either in government
service or in the private sector, in the format to be
prescribed by the Board, indicating the inclusive
dates, companies worked for, description of specific
responsibilities, relevant accomplishments and
name, position of immediate supervisors for a
period of at least seven (7) years (inclusive
and/or aggregate), at least two (2) years of which
are in responsible charge of significant
engineering work, from the date applicant took
his/her oath as an Electronics and
Communications Engineer or Electronics
Engineer;

experience record submitted by the
applicant is factual (not needed for
those who have been registered and
licensed as ECE under R.A. 5734, for
at least seven (7) years.

government service, Ombudsman
clearance.

REGISTRATION

1. Upon receipt, the board shall evaluate the


documents.
2. The Board may require submission of additional
documents or schedule interview.
3. Applicant shall be informed of the Boards
evaluation.
4. If approved, successful applicant shall be
notified accordingly.
5. The Board, in coordination with IECEP and
upon approval by the Commission, shall
schedule a formal Oath-taking ceremony where
the New Certificate as PECE shall be given.
The Professional Seal shall also be given at
nominal fees which shall be handled by the
IECEP in coordination with the Board for
control and database upkeep purposes.

Under the ASEAN Mutual Recognition


Arrangement (MRA) on Engineering Services, a
professional engineer or practitioner who holds
the nationality of an ASEAN member country
and who possess qualifications and experience
that comply with the requirements specified in
the Assessment Statement may apply to be
registered on the ASEAN Chartered Professional
Engineers Register (ACPER) and accorded to the
title of ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer.
The ASEAN Certified Professional Engineer is
mandated by the ASEAN MRA on Engineering
Services and is regulated by the ASEAN
Chartered Professional Engineering
Coordinating Committee.

Organization and is regulated by the
ASEAN Engineer Register Secretariat.
