INTRODUCTION ABOUT THE TOOL
The tool used is a questionaire. According to Bogardus, a questionaire is
a list of the questions sent to a number of persons to answer. A questionaire
consists of a variety of the questions printed or typed in a definite order on
a form which are mailed further to the respondents. The main function or
the objective of the questionaire is to collect data from the respondents,
who are generally scattered in a vast diverse data. Questionaire is a
structured series of written questions that generally ask respondents to
select from a limited set of possible answers. Questionaire are a popular
tool to gather data from a large number of people. Questionaire can be
thought of as a kind of written interview. In general, questionaires are
effective mechanisms for efficient collection of certain kinds of
information.
Data collection
Data collection is the process of gathering and measuring
information from a variety of sources to get a complete and accurate
picture of an area of interest. Here we use questionnaire for data
collection. A questionaire contains 34 questions. It will distribute to
20 student teachers for evaluating their self acceptance. The
response of each question is true or false. If the response of the
student teacher is true, then the mark obtained is 1. if the response of
he student teacher is false then the mark obtained is zero. The total
mark obtained for each student teachers is below 17, they have
below average self acceptance. The mark obtained in between 17-
25, they have average self acceptance. The mark obtained in
between 25-34 they have above average self acceptance.
