MARK 4:13-20
Then JESUS said to them, Dont you understand
this parable? How then will you understand any
parable? The farmer sows the word.
Some people are like seed along the path, where
the word is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan
comes and take away the word that was sown in
them.
Others, like seed sown on rocky places, hear the
word and at once receive it with joy. But since they
have no root, they last only a short time. When
trouble or persecution comes because of the word,
they quickly fall away.
Still others, like seeds sown among thorns, hear
the word; but the worries of life, the deceitfulness of
wealth and desires for other things come in and
1. THE KINGDOM GROWS
IN THE FACE OF ADVERSITIES
The gospel seed sown generously will
produce great harvest- 30, 60, and
100 times in the midst of stony, rocky,
and thorny opposition.
There will be incredible response if you
are faithful in spreading the gospel
seed.
There will be hardship in farming but
surely there is a time of harvest .
2. THE KINGDOM GROWTH
IN UNSTOPPABLE MANNER
MARK 4:26-29
And HE said, the Kingdom of God is
as if a man should scatter seed on the
ground, and should sleep by night and
rise by day, and the seed should sprout
and grow, he himself not know how. For
the earth yields crops by itself; first the
blade, then the head, after that the full
grain in the head. But when the grain
ripens immediately he puts in the
The seed grows spontaneously and no
one can stop the growth.
The seed grows on its own and the
farmer just wait until the harvest.
Nagtanim, inalagaan, at nag-ani.
Gods kingdom does not expand by our
strength and wisdom. It grows because
Gods spirit works in peoples hearts. Our
effort to enlarge the kingdom are in vain
without the empowering presence of God
to lead and to guide us.
The growth of Gods kingdom is not on
the resources of man but of God.
3. THE KINGDOM OF GOD
WILL
SURPASS ALL KINGDOMS
MARK 4:30-32 NKJV IN ALL GLORY
Then He said, To what shall we liken
the kingdom of God? Or with what
parable shall we picture it? It is like a
mustard seed which when it is sown on
the ground, is smaller than all the
seeds on earth, but when it is sown, it
grows up and becomes greater that all
herbs and shoots out large branches, so
that the birds of the air may nest under
No one can stop the expansion of Gods
kingdom (Rev. 11:15) the kingdoms of this
world have become the kingdoms of our
Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign
forever and ever.
Take part in the expansion for it is the heart
of God (John 3:16)
Jesus came to deliver the people from the
power of darkness to the kingdom of God.
Jesus is the only way to Gods kingdom and
there is no other and His coming to reign
forever is unstoppable.
