ABSTRACT
The sedimentology and stratigraphy of the Kubang Pasu Formation is revised. Study area focus on the formation which is exposed in Perlis and North
Kedah. The Kubang Pasu Formation comprises of interbedded sandstone with thick mudstone. This research comprises of two parts; field investigations
and laboratory analysis. In the field, two outcrops were described and few sets of sedimentary logs were done for each of the outcrops. Besides that, a
number of samples were also collected for both the outcrops and facies stratification analysis was also done on all the outcrops. With the samples
collected from the field, grain analysis and further study were done in the laboratory. This project will focus on certain section of the Kubang Pasu
Formation for better understanding on the formation. The gaps in the sedimentology and stratigraphy of the Kubang Pasu Formation will be scaled down.
INTRODUCTION METHODOLOGY
PROBLEM STATEMENT: Description Facies
Few studies of the Kubang Pasu Formation exist that evaluates the facies analysis Sedimentar

and interprets their depositional environment, however, the gaps between the study outcrop analysis
sections were huge. In this project, the sedimentology and stratigraphy of the Kubang
Pasu Formation will be further investigated and discussed. Two outcrops will be
selected and research will be carried on to have better understanding on the Kubang

CONCLUSION
The uppermost Kubang Pasu Formation directly underlying the Chuping Formation is exposed in Perlis and North Kedah. The gaps in the
sedimentology and stratigraphy of the Kubang Pasu Formation will be scaled down.
