Alsos Mission (1943-1945) meant that the US gathered enough intelligence of the German Nuclear Project.

After the Second World War, the Soviet Union (Operation Osoaviakhim) and the United States (Operation Paperclip) began
competing by recruiting German scientist, engineers, technicians,

The purpose of which was to learn everything they knew.

Led to the heightening of the Cold War and The Space Race

Operation and recruitment began five months before then-President Truman formally order the execution of Operation Paperclip

Overall the US recruited over 1500 German scientists

It was not until 1972-3 when the American public began to ask questions

Codename given to an illegal program of experiments on human subjects. Put simply, they wanted to study human behaviour, using
electroconvulsive treatment, sensory deprivation, verbal abuse. Testing LSD on unwitting candidates, in conditions that MIMIC
an interrogation room

Study the effects of drugs (LSD-BZ) on humans, due to the nature of the tests and the results they wished to achieve. Most of the
subjects were unwitting participants.

As covert as the program was, it can be deduced that the CIA was looking to achieve two specific aims: 1. THE MANCHURIAN
CANDIDATE 2. DEVELOPMENT OF TRUTH SERUM

As the CIA is not a scientific research institution, it proceeded to set up 86 front groups throughout universities and hospitals.

Between 1953- 1973, Project MK Ultra was in operation. Peaking in the 1960s, Congressional Inquiries supposedly ended in 1964
after one Linda Macdonald successfully filed a lawsuit against Dr Ewen Cameron (Subproject 68), where she claimed she was
a victim of mind control. MK Ultra officially ended in 1973

There is confirmed that files have been destroyed. It is speculated it took almost five years between 1973-1978

In 1979, an ABC News produced a documentary special on MK ULTRA

In 1996 Bill Clinton apologised on behalf of those involved in the project after victim testimonies

Little is known on George Hunter White. He was a Federal Narcotics Agent

Has extensive knowledge of and connection to the underworld throughout the

What is now a behavioural and sociological studies centre, was the hotspot for
the creation of World War 1 Propaganda machine.

Used to convince the British public in viewing their involvement in the war as
justifiable

Many of Sigmund Freud students, colleagues and followers work within the
Institute. Including, one Edward Bernays known as the Father of Public
Relations was Freuds nephew
So what does this mean?
Nothing!
1. It was a failed experiment, there is no such thing as mind control without
proper conditioning or the power of suggestion

2. Despite this, Guantanamo Bay and Abu Ghraib and the techniques involves
are an extension and reminiscent of MK Ultra. Remember the US government
cannot administer torture on US Soil. Huge similarity in torture methods

3. Raises the question of how suspect psychiatric institutions actually are.
