Partner Advisory: VMware vSphere 6.5 Product Compatibility
PLEASE NOTE: This information is under embargo and is not to be shared with customers until the
public announcement of vSphere 6.5
Following a new vSphere release, VMware expects to make compatible versions of dependent
products available within one quarter of GA in most cases. vSphere 6.5 is expected to GA in Q4
2016.
At GA, VMware will not have compatible versions for VMware NSX, VMware Integrated
OpenStack, vCloud Director-SP and vRealize Infrastructure Navigator
Reseller partners should advise existing NSX and VIO customers not to upgrade to vSphere 6.5 until
compatible versions become available
Compatible versions of NSX and VIO are expected to be available in Q1 2017

vCD-SP partners are advised not to upgrade to vSphere 6.5 until compatible versions become
available
A compatible version of vCD-SP is expected to be available in Q1 2017

Reseller partners should advise existing VMware vRealize Infrastructure Navigator customers
not to upgrade to vSphere 6.5
Partners that identify VIN customers planning an upgrade to vSphere 6.5, please email the VIN team
