Our Ident Idea?
The ident will be roughly 20 seconds in length and will include
short clips of London landmarks such as London Eye, Big Ben,
Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge, Tower of London and
Westminster Abbey. All landmarks will be filmed with cinematic
effects to give the ident a professional feel.

Around the 10 second mark the 2D Stop Frame Animation of

London Eye during night time with bright Red lights will appear
creating a time-lapse.

This time-lapse will make up the final 10 seconds and this will not
change. Our BBC One logo design will then fade in on top the
London Eye filling the center circle of the London Eye.

We think this BBC ident will be shown before the news as the
ident is similar to the theme and introduction of BBC News as it
consists of London landmarks and very formal approach with the
use of Black and Red.
The Future
In the future we can see our design/idea developing into a more
commonly used design with its formal and simplistic/modern
approach, making it similar to the BBC One News Introduction.
Much Like the BBC One News introduction our ident consists or
real life shots of London and even includes some animation.

We also believe expanding upon this idea we can see the

London/British Theme which we have incorporated being used
in later Ident designs becoming a everyday theme.

Making this design more long term we can perhaps keep the
theme of Britain looking at big Cities in Britain and could even
look at the luxurious countryside's Britain has to .

Looking forward into the future we could also look at at our

Previous storyboards to develop upon pre thought out ideas to
see how we could further improve them.
Themes
Previous BBC1 idents have similar themes as they also
consist of a reoccurring theme of circles and the colour red.
The reoccurring themes make it obvious to the audience what
channel they are watching and the channel is not mistaken
for another.

We plan to continue the use of these common themes as

they are now very recognizable and easy related to BBC One
in particular. By using theses in our ident it allows us to keep
the channels large viewer base.

We are rebranding the channels ident as we believe our

presentation of the ident is slightly more individual in
comparison to others. Another factor is that we do not
believe that the current BBC One idents dont show any of
the BBCs heritage, hence why we are going to have British
landmarks in our ident.
