Major Advantages of the
Project
1. An industry established in village will give
employment to villagers.
2. Packaging and quality checking will be done
at one unit so that quality can be
continuously monitored.
3. Spirulina is a sensitive organism, a little
contamination will spoil the entire culture. If
one industry is contaminated other industries
can help them. The loss will be very less.
Major Advantages of the
Project
As many people are involved in this
project fund generation will be easy.
More the number of industries, more
people will be involved in that
production.
It can also be used as a good
biofertilizer along with urea.
What is the need of starting
this program?
People have to start spirulina awareness
program immediately because
It is future food (It takes only sunlight and sea
water to grow Eradication of hunger in India
Other countries have started using this
product and our Indians have to start it and
make it as a habit since all lands are
becoming dry and we dont know what will
happen in Future i.e. Plants may stop
growing, or trees may die etc
It also acts as an income source for dry
land farmers. People in villages (Rain
dependent villages are struggling during
summer)
Nutritional awareness in India is
increasing now a days and it is the right
time to start this project.
About project
We have interested Entrepreneurs people
(40) through out India. They are interested
to invest money on this project but we
advised them to wait for mass project to
start this initiative. Try plan for one village
first with CFTRI Technology. Once it is
successful, then other entrepreneurs can
start this project, throughout India.

Is

Rs. 1,042,75 /- ONLY for one

complete year
As it is group initiative, we can request,
CFTRI has to give technology free of cost
(We can save Rs. 50,000)
Before giving the chance to start an
industry we will ask them about
refrigerator and I personally hope that most
of the entrepreneurs will be having
refrigerators.
We can reduce the marketing and travelling
expenditure.
Other costs i.e. Quality checking
cannot be avoided because we are
giving it to children and women.
For production and marketing of 365
kilograms of Spirulina per year

Spirulina selling cost for one

kilogram cost is Rs. 840/-

(Present market price in India is Rs.

1200 to Rs. 2500/- per kilogram)
Profits by the project
Per kilo investment is Rs. 840/-

First 183 days spirulina will be supplied free of cost so the

profit will be Nil

Next 92 days: Rs. 420 per kilogram will be charged for 92

days then the total profit is 38,640/-

Next 92 days: Rs. 840 per kilogram will be charged for next

92 days 77,280/-
Total profit from the project =

Advantage of this project
Stabilization of industry in villages and
employment
Marketing and habituating people with
Spirulina sp. and this will help our
country to fight malnutrition as well as
poverty (NO one will die of hunger)
It will be like Corporate milk revolution
In India.

of this project is
making farmers
