First of all I would express my gratitude to all mighty for giving me strength to
perform my responsibilities as an intern and complete the report with a stipulated
time. I am deeply indebted to my director Dr Diwakar sir, Prabudhh sir and jagran
lakecity university for their whole hearted super vision during my organizational
attachment period. I m also great full to miss Pihu as my organizational rj. It would
have been very difficult to prepare this report up to this mark without her guidance .
My guidance my gratitude goes to entire faculty of school of media of jlu for
arranging internship program that facilitates integration of theoretical knowledge
with real life situation last but not the least I would like to convey my special
gratitude to miss ritu programing head without her help and support my report
would not be completed . More over I would also like to express my gratitude to my
fm fellows seniors and colleagues who gave me good advise suggestion inspiration
and support and giving me wonderfull working environment and group commitment
of this organization that has enable me to deal with lots of things
Summary
I have prepared this report on my one month practical
experience at my fm Bhopal . This internship program
helped me to learn about the practical scenario of a fm
company . My fm Is a dynamic and a wonderfull
organization it is situated it started its journey on 2008
27th of may in Bhopal . This report has been presented
based on my observation and experience gathered from
the company . This organization has my division and
department but my main focus was on programing and
marketing . This report mentions about the experience at
my fm . However I recored my voice , I attended the

 I vishakha ranglani, has completed my
internship in 94.3 MY FM for one month. I was
working there as a trainee . My training started
from 19th may till 19 june . I really enjoyed
working there and have added many things to
my knowledge my communication skills were
improved I learned team working . Working with
them was a wonderful experience .
WHAT IS RADIO
Radio: Radio is the transmission of signals by modulation
of electromagnetic waves with frequencies below those
of visible light. Electromagnetic radiation travels by
means of oscillating electromagnetic fields that pass
through the air and the vacuum of space. Information is
carried by systematically changing (modulating) some
property of the radiated waves, such as amplitude,
frequency, phase, or pulse width. When radio waves pass
an electrical conductor, the oscillating fields induce an
alternating current in the conductor. This can be detected
and transformed into sound or other signals that carry
information. Radio systems used for communications will

The new wave of private FM radio which started in 1999 prompted the
group to make a foray in FM where the group decided to apply as a
serious contender in the second round of license allotment by the
Government. In order to utilize the immense print potential of the group
in some of the major cities and towns of the country, the group
strategically bid for 18 licenses and won 17 out of them, the only one left
out being Baroda. Synergy Media Entertainment Limited is a wholly
owned company of the Bhaskar group who has acquired these licenses in
the following cities; Madhya Pradesh Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Gwalior
Chhatisgarh Raipur, Bilaspur Rajasthan Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kota,
Ajmer Gujrat Ahmedabad, Surat Punjab Chandigarh, Jallandhar,
Amritsar Maharashtra Nagpur The Brand: The brand was decided as MY
FM. As it is a right reflection of the one-to-one relationship with an
emotional ownership of the medium with the listeners. The Brand
operates at the single frequency : 94.3 over all stations.
My experience
As A Script Writer: - I started my training with
script writing guided by Anursha mam. I learned
about different scripts and how to write different
types of scripts . I wrote around 30 scripts in
one month for different shows and 50% script
has selected by the client as well as approved by
programming head Mrs Ritu from that 30 to 35
% scripts are going on air also.
Learned
As A OB Jock:- How to Work on OBs, was
guided by RJ Pihu and I gain a lot from her
show 16 always . I did OBs for evening
shows named dil chahta hai guided by RJ
puneet. I did voice overs for advertisments
which was guided by Mr Raju and also
been on air with Rj pihu and Rj Aashi .
 Activities
I used to work on Pc and work on sound tracking
of different stations which is known as
competition tracking . I did RJ mention of all Rjs
and learned how to operate their software's . I
also select songs with programing head Ritu
Mam. I found catchy and fresh attractive news
for Rj Priyanka for evening show. I also did
winners and listeners entries for Rj Aashi , Rj
Pihu , Rj Puneet , Rj Priyanka .
On ground activity
As An Anchor: - On 27th may 2016 , my FM
had completed its 9 years so on that day I
hosted the show at Db mall by introducing Rj
to all the audience Present there . I also
hosted a small programme with Rj Pihu of
summer camp at danik baskar office . I
hosted 16 always show under the guidance of
Pihu . that was a wonderful experience .
Call Receive
I attended the calls of FM listener from the back
up studio. and did the activity according to the
show with them and coordinate with the listeners
who so ever come in the office. I have also invited
the listeners for the my fM party which was on
27th may for the celebrating the 9th birthday of
my fM And also called listeners for Dawat-E-
Music .
I use to call the winners for daily activities done
My learning
I have spend a quality of time with 94.3 My FM
team and learned so many thing during my
training. I have learned about all things Like team
work, leadership etc. My aim is to become an RJ . I
wrote Links and recorded my own voice. I use to
practice recording my voice and use to take
feedback from RJs as well as programming Head. I
learned how to express my thoughts , express my
ideas , and improved my communication skills .

I learned about technical words which is used in Radio industry and the
technical work, which is very important . Programing as well as learnt about

Special activity in MY FM
The 9TH anniversary of my fm was celebrated on 27 th may
which was a grand celebration
1st activity was done on maida mill . The activity was tree
plantation . My fm team with all the listeners planted 943
plants for a good motive to make Bhopal green to spread
greenery and the agenda was clean india green india.
2nd activity was held at db mall there we entertained our
listeners and played different types of game with them.
3rd activity was at lakeview at cruse the best listerns nd
special guest were invited there to have a grand celebration.
And live shows were also conducted there.

SOFTWARE USED AT MY FM
RCS (Radio Computing Software) is used for recording and
telecasting the programs ON-AIR. Its a sound software
which is more friendly to the user than the other software.
This software functions with the help of two monitors, two
mikes, headsets, sound mixer and Teleso.
TELESO : Its a software which is used for attending calls
and dialing calls.
SOUND MIXER : At the extreme right end and at the extreme
left are the PGM buttons (in red colour). When the right end
key is in OFF: The ON-AIR programs cannot be heard inside
the studio. When the left end key is in OFF: the ON-AIR
programs can beheard outside the studio (to the listeners)
 The grey-lines on the sound mixer marks the level of normal base.
At the time of Jock talk it should kept at normal base whereas to
be kept at its maximum during the listeners talk.
PROGRAM CODES :
8 seconds of difference from MY FM station to the ON-AIR public.
STATION JINGLE- Song about the MY FM station which comes
only during every hours beginning.
PROGRAM BUMPER- Liner about each program.
CREDIT LINE- Name of the program sponsors. (i.e) lines like
brought you by.
STATION PROMO- Ad about the MY FM 94.3 station.
LINER- Program promo (i.e) comic, message.
SPARKLER- Characters for program promo (i.e) like MAUSAM
CHACHI
 RCS SOFTWARE
RCS (Radio Computing Software) used for recording,
ediing, to
attend telecalls. It consists of two moniters. In the
left moniter
the recording and saving will take place. And in the
right the
program going ON-AIR can be viewed. And the
recorded
material can be included in the program which has
to be
telecasted.
Using this software I recorded the telecalls and
saved it with the
help of the Quick-Set software. With the help of the
Mic and headset which is connected to the
RCS software and Teleso, I recorded telecalls and
edited them
that were telecasted ON-AIR.
I attended the calls and with the help of my co-intern
Sound Mixer : (Digital Audio Console)

While attending the calls the

right PGM buttons must be
kept
ON inorder to hear the calls
inside the sudio and the left
PGM
button must be kept ON to
hear it inside the studio
(optional)
Tele so hardware is used to dial and attend calls. Using the
numeric keys on the left side the outgoing calls can be made.
The lights on the first 3 keys on the top row will blink if there
are any incoming calls. To disconnect the call press Drop key
and Next key to attend the next incoming calls. To keep all the
lines busy press busy all key.

After all the call with the help of quick set software the call
should be saved respective show folders which will be displayed
on the screen. The required calls should be dragged and
inserted with the sound player to be telecasted ON AIR
The program schedule to be
telecasted ON-AIR can be changed
or edited using the log editor in the
Selector software.

Conclusion
The past months of my internship have been very instructive for me my FM has offered me
opportunities to learn and develop my self in many areas. I gained a lot of experience
specially communicating with the listeners and hence develop my communication skill. A lot
of task and activities that I have worked during my internship are familiar with what I am
studying at the moment . I worked in many areas where I did different work this gave me the
chance to find out which areas I want to work after my education . The area that I found
most interesting is marking and communication. I had to communicate with lots of listeners I
learned many things about script writing and voice recording before my internship started
my ideas did not match the experience which I have gained during my internship . There is
the big difference in the school project and the task and the activities during the actual
work. In college we learn how to describe the work in projects, where in the work to learn
how to implement in reality . This internship was definitely an introduction to actual work
field to me. I have learn to work in radio organization and apply my knowledge into practice .
I have learned a lot from different interns that I have been working with during my
internship. Each intern has a different educational background and that made it interesting
for me by working with them, I got to learn from them and become aware educational
background
