Abstract
Voltage stability analysis of multi machine
system is evaluated through CPF in this paper.
The performance study of SVC is executed in
IEEE 57 bus test system for the enhancement
of voltage stability through Power System
Analysis tool box (PSAT).When the system
undergoes unexpected over loading , its
stability is affected. It needs compensation to
improve the stability from the disturbances.
Here, the system is analyzed by CPF to
improve the stability.
CONTINUATION POWER
FLOW

The continuation power flow is an powerful tool

which is used to analyze the voltage stability
and maximum load ability of multi machine
system. It has two steps one predictor step
and the other one is corrector step. The
critical point gives the maximum loading of
the system It is also called as collapse point.
Beyond this point, the system stability will
collapse.
STATIC VAR COMPENSATORS(SVC)

The role of a SVC is to control the voltage at

the power system network. Static Var
Compensators are shunt connected devices. It
generates or absorbs the reactive power .
Multi verse optimization (MVO)
Multi verse optimization proposed by syedali
mirjalili in 2015. Multi verse optimization
(MVO) is based on the multi verse theory and
big bang theory. The search process is divided
into two phases. They are exploration and
exploitation. MVO consists of three main
concepts.
1. White hole
2. Black hole
3. Worm hole.

Conclusion
The voltage stability of the system using SVC
is investigated through the continuation
power flow simulations . The proposed
algorithm is used to find best method to get
maximum load ability and voltage stability.
The multi verse optimization method has
improved the voltage stability than the
system without SVC.
