Aim/Purpose of Study
The aim of this study is researching the relationship
of PMs Big Five Personality Traits with the Project
Success.
RESEARCH QUESTION
ARE PROJECT MANAGERS PERSONALITY TRAITS
IMPORTANT IN PROJECT SUCCESS?
Limitations of the study
The very first limitation of this study is the
limited sample size and the technique used .i.e.
convenient sampling.
Secondly, it could not cover all potential project
sectors.
Thirdly, the respondents mostly belong to one
geographic region i.e. Rawalpindi - Islamabad
area.

Project Management is the Application of


Knowledge, Skills, Tools and Techniques to the
project activities to meet project requirements

PROJECT MANAGER
Project Manager (PM)is The person responsible
for accomplishing the project objectives (PMBOK
GUIDE-2014). The PMs roles include Planning,
Organizing, Directing and Controlling the project
activities. Therefore, the PM plays the most
dominant part in attaining the project success
PERSONALITY
Different qualities of a persons character that
makes him/her different from other people.

Human resources professionals often use the


Big Five personality dimensions to help place
employees. That is because these dimensions are
considered to be the underlying traits that make up
an individuals overall personality:

secondary data where it is required

SAMPLING TECHNIQUE
We use non random and purposive sampling
Proposed Contribution
This study covers the direct relationship between
Big Five factors with the Project Success. Future
researchers may like to see the impact of
education, marital status and work experience of
PMs upon the project success. Moreover, a
longitudinal study be conducted using a larger
and more comprehensive sample to enhance its
applicability and generalizability.
