This course is designed to help students

understanding and practicing the design
of integrated system especially in product
and process development system, design of
work system and production system, as well
as business system.
Course Objectives p
t
To develop understanding on design process of
integrated system and related tools applied.
To improve skills in applying engineering and
science knowledge in an industrial engineering
design project.
To gain experience in development, planning,
implementation and management of a project
in teams in designing a system, component, or
process to fulfill the needs under realistic
constraints and conditions.
Industrial Engineering p
t
What is? (IIE official definition)
Industrial engineering is concerned with the
design, improvement and installation of
integrated systems of people, materials,
information, equipment and energy. It draws
upon specialized knowledge and skill in the
mathematical, physical, and social sciences
together with the principles and methods of
engineering analysis and design, to specify,
predict, and evaluate the results to be
obtained from such systems.
