WHAT IS COPYRIGHT?
Commonwealth Law: Copyright Act 1968
Laws to protect the rights of people who have created a work, such
as a book or dance piece.
To acknowledge who the work was created by.
Allow the creator to give permission for others to use their work
and have control over its reproduction.
Only protects documented work, not a persons ideas.
Automatic in Australia does not require official registration.

WHEN DOES COPYRIGHT
AFFECT ME?
When you are using something protected by copyright?
This includes a substantial amount of a copyrighted document
about 10% of a document.
If you do or do not have permission to use a copyrighted work.
WHAT IS CREATIVE
COMMONS?
An international organisation that allows creators to give a free
license for the public to use their work under certain conditions.
Includes free use of resources for educational institutions (our
school included!).
When using someones work, you should include their name so
other people know who created the work.
HOW TO ACKNOWLEDGE
SOMEONE ELSES WORK
For a photo:
1. Copy the web address link of the photo (where
you got the photo from)
2. Put a text book underneath the photo
3. Paste the link in the textbox beneath the photo
