Campaign Objective
We would like to have a campaign leading up to an
event to make youths more aware of the
need to stay safe online (basic requirement). We are
particularly interested in ideas that
inspire youths to be leaders in helping others (elderly,
younger kids etc.) stay safe online.
The event should cater to 2,000 attendees, but its
marketing efforts should reach at least
10,000 youths.
Statistics
Only 11 percent of teens talked to parents about incidents of Cyber bullying.
Meaning parents are not aware of this

Singapore is topping the charts again in cyber bullying. (2014)

One child can be playing five hours of video games every day
76 per cent of minors, below the age of 13, use YouTube

Never share personal information, videos, photos with
people he doesnt know well and has never met in person.
Never add as friend someone he doesnt know in real life
(explain to them about fake identities and online predators).
Never share his passwords and always set his profile to
private or friends only so his personal information is kept
safe. Never open emails from strangers. It may contain
viruses that can harm a computer. Say no to meeting
strangers. Immediately tell you or a trusted adult if he
encounters something nasty, or makes him feel
uncomfortable when he is online.

By the time children are 9 years old, they are beginning to be


more self-conscious and may not like too much parental
attention in public places; they are also more independent.
