Introduction
In the following pages Henry VIII
wives tell all in diaries and in
letters, all found and now made
available to you.
Read the hypnotizing facts of
Anne Boleyn's temper, the army of
Katherines and Annes that Henry
VIII married; there is even the
shocking facts of the many ladies
in waiting Henry VIII had married.
Catherine Of
Stubborn like her daughter
Aragon
I was never supposed to marry
Henry VIII, I originally married
Arthur Tudor, but his untimely
death meant Henry VIII would be
king. With Britain and Spain
wanting to be allies they had me
marry Henry VIII. We had been
forced together but you could still
call us a power couple, Henry VIII
loved me and said thousands of
times he would pick me over all
others.
That changed quickly though.
He still had mistresses and at one
point had two because I had six
miscarriages and only one child
survived infancy, Mary 1.
Then after everything we did
for each other, he started dating
Anne Boleyn; we had not even
Now that is not all though, when I
gave birth to Princess Mary he
loved Mary and we were a family.
Till he had a illegitimate male
child. Everything went downhill
from there.
I was way too old to have a
male child, so Henry VIII changed
his religion to Protestant; he even
got married to Anne Boleyn before
we got divorced. 24 years with
Henry VIII--what a humiliating
way to end a marriage.
Katherine was exiled from court
and did not see her daughter
again. She never accepted her
fate. Her last letter to Henry, as
she lay dying, is testament to her
broken dreams and stubborn
pride. She signed it, Katherine
the Queen. (Happy).
Anne Boleyn
I will yell at you

My sister was the mistress of

Henry VIII and she introduced me
to him; later I was Catherine of
Aragons lady in waiting. Being in
close contact with Henry VIII
meant we soon became lovers. We
were married before Henry VIII
ever got a divorce from Catherine.
I felt some shame for betraying
Catherine, but I have often had
men fall in love with me. They had
a divorce (and I was her
replacement). But I had two large
problems Her famous temper and
tongue showed themselves at
times in famous arguments
between her and Henry for all the
court to see (Anne).
I only lashed out because we
had not made much progress in
the male son department, so I was
very afraid Henry VIII would go
back to Catherine of Aragon.
We got married before the
divorce was fully over, only
because I was pregnant and we
both didnt want any problems
with the legitimacy of the child.
I had one girl, Princess
Elizabeth I; I then had about three
miscarriages. I knew that my
failure to bear Henry VIII a son
was a threat to my life. I was so
afraid I blamed the miscarriages
on Henry VIIIs jousting accident.
I had a lot to worry about because
Henry VIII started becoming
friendly with Jane Seymour, my
lady in waiting.
My eventual downfall was
because of my enemies in the
court; they used Henry VIIIs
attraction to Jane Seymour. I had
several friends arrested and killed
before my brother, Lord Rochford,
was arrested. It was only a matter
of time before I was taken.
May 2, I was arrested and
accused of adultery, incest, and
plotting to murder the King. I was
then taken to the Tower of
Jane Seymour
Forever we will be
together
I was the best wife Henry VIII
ever had. I had no idea how to
read or write past my name; I had
my hobbies and that was sort of it.
The only huge thing I did for
Henry VIII was give birth to a
male son, Edward VI. I then died
nine days later from puerperal
fever. This was enough for Henry
VIII.
Henry VIII loved me because I
gave him a son; he wore black for
months after my death, and only
remarried in 1540. I am also the
only wife that Henry VIII is buried
next to.
I got married to Henry VIII
quickly; I never had a coronation,
so I was never technically queen,
Anne of Cleves
Just want to be free

I was married to Henry as a

show of unification. He had many
painters and scouts sent to find the
perfect candidate. It was down to
my sister and I, and eventually I
was picked.
We married on January 6, 1540.
Ever since the wedding ,Henry VIII
wanted out of our marriage; he said
I was a Flanders Mare. In
addition to his personal feelings for
wanting to end the marriage, there
were now political ones as well.
Tension between the Duke of
Cleves and the Empire was
increasing towards war and Henry
had no desire to become involved (
Anne 2). Henry VIII hated to get
involved in another war; after all he
Henry VIII had also become
interested in the young beautiful
Kathryn Howard.
I was smart enough to know
that if I tried to bring up obstacles
in the divorce, I might die. I even
claimed my previous engagement
to the son of the Duke of Lorraine
had not been properly broken. I
accepted the title of Kings
Sister. I lived quietly and
attended Mary I, my step
daughters coronation.
Kathryn Howard
Lover and
loved
I was the first cousin of Anne
Boleyn and was the lady in
waiting to Anne of Cleves. It is
believed that my uncle
encouraged me to respond to
Henry VIII to further his power.
Sixteen days after Anne of
Cleves was out of the picture,
Henry VIII and I were married; I
was only 19 and he was 49.
We were a horrible match but I
did lift his feelings; you could say
I was a party girl of the
Renaissance. Henry VIII has
gained weight and had a ulcerated
leg. Henry VIII gave me thousands
of gifts and called me his rose
without a thorn.
I had many rumors about
myself and lovers; I didnt help
myself by hiring a secretary who
had admired me for many years.
No one could truly blame me for
seeking men closer to my age, but
it was no way for a queen to act.
In 1541 there was enough
evidence against me; I ended up
being beheaded and laid to rest
near Anne Boleyn.
Katherine Parr
Well This Is My
Excuse
I was another lady in waiting
but for Catherine of Aragon. I
named my daughter after her and
many find it funny that Henry VIII
last wifes child is named after his
first wife.
I was approached by two hands
for my marriage; I loved Thomas
Seymour but felt it was my duty to
marry King Henry VIII.
I wanted to ban books. I almost
got arrested and killed, but I said
that I wanted Henry VIII to raise
the people the way he saw fit.
When Henry VIII lay on his
deathbed, he was such a pain. He
had made a law that if a doctor
predicted a kings death, they
would be charged of treason.
When Henry VIII died, I married
Thomas Seymour quietly. This
caused a scandal, and I was only
able to adopt Princess Elizabeth.
FunFact
Anne Boleyn: Interestingly,
shortly before her execution on
charges of adultery, the Queen's
marriage to the King was
dissolved and declared invalid.
One would wonder then how she
could have committed adultery if
she had in fact never been
married to the King, but this was
overlooked, as were so many
other lapses of logic in the
charges against Anne.
End
The six wives of Henry VIII
told the heartbreaking and tragic
stories they kept bottled up and
away from the world. Now you
know the truth. Was Henry VIII a
gentleman or a Beast in disguise?
