o Nerve supply to large blood vessels
o Allows regulation by the sympathetic nervous system
Veins
Varicose veins
 When circulation slows down,
blood can accumulate and
form a clot within a deep vein.

Can lead to fatal pulmonary

embolism if the clot moves to
the lungs.
