To create a mailbox:

1 Open Active Directory Users and Computers


2 Browse to the OU that will contain the new user account
3 Use the context menu of the organizational unit to create the
new user account, and verify that the Create an Exchange
mailbox check box is selected

How to Hide Mailboxes

When a mailbox is hidden, it can still receive messages addressed to it if the


message sender uses its SMTP e-mail address or any other foreign address

To hide a mailbox:

1 Open Active Directory Users and Computers


2 Open the Properties dialog box for the user account
3 On the Exchange Advanced tab, select the Hide from
Exchange Address Lists check box
