The City Government of Vigan through the stewardship of
Mayor Eva Marie S. Medina formally received its honor as one of the New 7 Wonders Cities of the World in a ceremony held last May 7, 2015 in front of the Conversion of St. Paul Cathedral
This is our wonder city, whom we are all proud of, it is
then our responsibility to preserve it, nurture, keep it vibrant and to treasure it, not just for today but for the future generation to appreciate and emulate an island, which used to be detached from the mainland by three rivers - the great Abra River, the Mestizo River and the Govantes River
