Coraza Systems Malaysia is a global supplier of
high precision sheet metal fabrication and assembly.
The company specializes in service from initial product
concept and design, through manufacturing prototypes
to complete production, assembly and integration. The
company forming services includes of punching, folding,
stamping, sanding, spot welding, welding (TIG/MIG),
clinching, riveting, CNC turning, CNC milling and
assembly. Secondary processes include of plating and
anodizing, painting (wet paint, powder coat) and silk-
screening.

STUDENT JOB SCOPE
Training the students to understand well about the process flow of
the company by exposure about production line.

Follow up the parts from punching, levelling, sanding, bending,

secondary and packing processes.

Ensure the trainee knows how to read a router.

Able to read drawing and tolerances from AutoCad and

SolidWorks.

Learn about the job scope of an engineer; preparing a route card,

process improvement notice (PIN), working instructions, etc.

Helping engineers to solve aroused problems in production line by

brainstorming alternatives/solutions.
PROJECT/TASK/ACTIVITIES INVOLVED
SAPPHIRE PROJECT
Follow up the parts from punching process to packaging parts to be
send to the subcon for passivation/chromate.

AMPERE PROJECT
Inspect parts to detect any rusting.
Check the quality of parts at assembly line; check whether the
welded parts crack and has scratches.
Arrange LLM and observe riveting process.
Use jig to check the assembled parts.

PRODUCTION LINE
Making labels for punch and die tooling.
Manually deburr parts.
Went to subcon (R Plus and MT Power) to send parts for silkscreen
process.
Observe cycle time for clinching and CNC punching process.
Immersing parts into anti rust oil to prevent rusting.
DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION
Being part of Coraza Systems Malaysia (CSM) Sdn. Bhd.,
Ive learnt many things about sheet-metal production. Many
main processes that CSM offers which are punching, bending,
levelling, sanding, welding and spot-weld.

These processes requires high-skilled technicians and

operators to be done. Therefore, lots of knowledge can be
obtained from those skilled and professional workers including
the engineers, planners and customer services executives.

During my internship period, I really enjoyed being part

of Corazas family. Coraza also had taught me to cope with real
problems aroused and communication are the most important
skills in working environment.
RECOMMENDATION

I highly RECOMMEND the forthcoming

UMP students to have their internship at Coraza
Systems Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. due to the
exposure/opportunities given by the company to
the students as they welcomed the students to
gain more experiences and knowledge in the
industry.
