Farther Liberal Arts, an interesting optional subject,


Juilliard offers three different divisions:

Dance Drama Music


Music
Juilliards Music Division is the
largestand most diverse of the
Schools three divisions. Its
distingueshed faculty includes
soloists, chamber and orchestral
musicians. You can choose between
lots of instruments like piano, harp,
strings, guitar, percussions and you
can also study composition and
voice or oper. Graduate-level
degrees offered are M.M. (Masters
of Music), Graduate Diploma, Artist
Diploma and D.M.A. (Doctor of
Musical Arts).
Drama
Actors and writers collide
toghether in the creation of
vibrant new work. Under the
direction of Masha Norman and
Christofer Durang, our promising
theatre artist had an essential
experience. The Drama Divition
has served as an incubator for
this work and many of these
collaborations continue to
flourish gor years long after
graduation.
Dance
Under the artistic direction of
Lawrence Rhodes, students can
became true contemporary dancers
(trained equally in classical bullet and
modern dance). The Dance Division
offers four-year undergraduate
program leading to B.F.A. (Bachelor of
Fine Arts) with Liberal Arts
requirements or a Diploma without
Liberal Arts requirements. Most
students pursue B.F.A. degree. The
four-year degree program includes 24
credits in the Liberal Arts department.
Liberal Arts
Liberal Arts education provides the
umanistic, ethical, social, critical
and easthetic background. You can
study literature, philosophy,
history, social sciences, arts and
languages.
All students in the B.F.A. and B.M.
degree programs are required to
complete a minimum of 24 credits
in the Liberal Arts.
Juilliard also offers course in four
modern foreign languages: French,
German, Italian and Russian.
