Introduction

XYZ Services Ltd provides auction services for art works to its
clients globally.

XYZ Services Ltd plans to develop Online Arts Gallery - a

web application for managing the auction and bidding process
for various art works.
Scope and Overview
The scope of the Online Arts Gallery will be to provide the functionality as
described in Functional Requirements below. The system will be developed on
a Windows 7 or Windows Server machine using ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server
etc.
Functional Requirements:-
The users of the Online Helpdesk are:
1. Administrator Administrator will be responsible for maintaining the various
categories and approving the new arts posted by various artists.
2. Artists Is responsible for posting and selling new artworks and view the
payment history
3. Art Collector He will be able to navigate through various art works by
category or by artists, perform bidding, track bids and finally make payments
Administrator
Administrator should be able to add the categories.
Administrator should be able to modify the categories.
Administrator should be able to delete the categories.
Administrator should be able to approve/reject the new art works posted
by various artists
Artists

Artists should be able to post new art works for approval from
administrator
Artists should be able to modify the art works posted by him
Artists should be able to delete the art works posted by him
Artists should be able to view all own art works, both sold and unsold
Artists should be able to sell the art work to highest bidder
Artists should be able to see the sales history of all sold art works
Art Collector

Collector should be able to view arts by category or artists

Collector should be able to track status of his bids
Collector should be able to make payments

System Overview and Description
The Online Arts Gallery should support the following users.
Administrator (AD)
Artists (AR)
Art Collector (AC)
The common functional requirements are explained below.
Authentication
Any end-user should be authenticated using a unique login ID and password.
Authorization
The operations supported and allowed would be based on the user type. For
example, Administrator has the rights to add or modify categories.
