Voiceover is an Accessibility feature that is on the Apple IPhones. This feature
allows people the chance with a vision disability to be able to still know what is
going on on their phone. This feature is used by just simply touching what you
would like to hear and the voiceover option will play it out to you.
Reading Support
Many children have a reading disability, like dyslexia. Apple has made reading
support to help anyone, even children, with their disability. Reading support
includes features such as Speak Screen, Speak Selection, Typing Feedback, and
Predictive Text. These auditory features can be added to reading or writing
emails, blog posts, or long documents. ,
Switch Control
Switch control is a feature that is on the IPhone for people with extreme physical
motor disabilities. This feature allows for the person to navigate through various
on screen items. It also allows the person to perform certain actions through
various Bluetooth switch hardware. Switch control is for beginners and experts
and can be customized for the particular person.
Assistive Touch
This feature on the IPhone is used for anyone with any type of physical disability.
It allows for the normal touch screen of the IPhone to be transformed into the
persons own personal needs. Like, for example, if a child has a hard time sliding
their finger on the phone, the assistive touch can make it so it is only a tap of the
finger instead. Anything can be customized to the persons own needs in assistive
touch, even the home button.
Hearing Aids
Last, but not least Apples newest feature, hearing aids made specifically for
IPhone and even for Ipad. These hearing aids are Bluetooth. They are super easy
to set up, have out of this world sound quality, and have a wide selection of helpful
features. To access the hearing aids Features and settings, just triple click the
home button. This is a remarkable invention for anyone with hearing aids.
All of these features can
be selected when first
setting up the phone or
changed within Settings.
